Miami è una di quelle città che si vedono spesso in film e serie TV, e vederla dal vivo è esattamente come ci si aspetta: palazzi in art déco e macchine vintage, larghe spiagge con le tipiche torrette di salvataggio colorate, yacht e motoscafi, skaters, rollerblades e personaggi eccentrici, la lingua spagnola che domina la scena. Tutto ciò contribuisce all’atmosfera davvero unica! All this contributes to the truly unique atmosphere! Aruba 🇦🇼 Port 8 and final of our Caribbean c Aruba 🇦🇼 Port 8 and final of our Caribbean cruise 🚢 Aruba è la più visitata delle isole ABC olandesi. Oranjestad è carina ma sembra un’imitazione di Willemstad, ci si sente in una trappola per turisti fra casinò, mega hotel, negozi di lusso e di gioielli. 💎 Scegliamo di andare in autobus alle spiagge, senza dubbio l’attrazione migliore dell’isola. Per il nostro ultimo giorno ai Caraibi non vogliamo altro che relax 🏖️ Eagle Beach e Palm Beach sono le più vicine, con spiagge spaziose, acque limpide, sdraio, ombrelloni e spazi pubblici. In città c’è un tram gratuito per spostarsi nella zona dei negozi, altre cose da vedere ad Aruba sono le grotte, alcune rovine e piscine rocciose naturali. Ritorniamo alla nave e salutiamo il Mar dei Caraibi 🥺👋 Vi è piaciuto vedere questi posti con noi? Aruba highlights: - città di Oranjestad e tram gratuito - Eagle e Palm beach - Arikok National Park - Aruba rock bridge 🇬🇧 Aruba is the most visited of the ABC Dutch islands in the South Caribbean. Oranjestad is a cute imitation of Willemstad, however it feels more of a tourist trap with all its shops, casinos and fancy clothing or jewellery stores. 💎 We opt for a local bus to hit the beaches, definitely the best attraction on the island. For our last port in the Caribbean, we want nothing more than a relaxing day by the ocean 🏖️ Eagle Beach and Palm Beach are the closest to town, with large beaches, clear waters, facilities and public areas. A free tram takes visitors around town among the shopping area, whereas other interesting attractions on the island include caves, ruins and natural rock pools. Curaçao 🇨🇼 Port 7 of our Caribbean cruise Curaçao 🇨🇼 Port 7 of our Caribbean cruise 🚢 Abbiamo raggiunto il sud dei Caraibi, eccoci nelle Antille Olandesi! 🇳🇱 Attracchiamo a Willemstad, capitale di Curaçao e città patrimonio Unesco per i suoi caratteristici edifici coloniali multicolore. 🌈 Qui affittiamo un’auto e raggiungiamo il Christoffel National Park con il suo ambiente semidesertico e le viste sul mare, poi ci fermiamo a vedere i bellissimi fenicotteri! 🦩🦩 Dopo pranzo passiamo diverse spiagge, una più bella dell’altra, con un’acqua incredibilmente cristallina! 🌊 Infine rientriamo a Willemstad, oggi la nostra nave salpa alle 22 e possiamo goderci i fuochi d’artificio dopo il tramonto 🎇 Da non perdere a Curaçao: - Willemstad, patrimonio Unesco - Baia dei fenicotteri - Spiagge di Grote Knip, Mango Beach, Daai Booi 🦩 Qual è l’animale più eccentrico che hai mai visto?? 🇬🇧 We reached the South Caribbean, and landed in the Dutch Antilles! 🇳🇱 We dock in Willemstad, the capital of Curaçao, a UNESCO heritage site for its multicolour colonial buildings. 🌈 We rent a car and reach Christoffel National Park with its semi desert landscape and amazing sea views. Trinidad & Tobago 🇹🇹 Port 6 of our Caribbean Trinidad & Tobago 🇹🇹 Port 6 of our Caribbean cruise 🚢 Appena vediamo Port of Spain capiamo di esser di fronte ad una giornata diversa ai Caraibi. La capitale di Trinidad è un grande centro industriale, le spiagge e attrazioni naturali sono lontane da qui, così come è lontana la paradisiaca isola sorella di Tobago. Tuttavia siamo pronti per una giornata più culturale, e facciamo una piacevole visita gratuita alla Red House, il parlamento della nazione. L’ottima guida ci spiega aspetti molto interessanti della cultura di Trinidad & Tobago 🇹🇹 Poi passeggiamo lungo il parco Queen Savannah e vediamo le Magnificent Seven, una serie di negli edifici coloniali costruiti dagli inglesi. Ritorniamo lungo l’Independence Boulevard e ci godiamo il resto della giornata nelle piscine della nostra nave. Corsa vedere a Trinidad: - la Red House - parco Queen Savannah - Royal Botanical Gardens - Baia e spiaggia di Maracas - Tobago (seconda isola) 👉 Hai sempre un piano B o sei pronto ad improvvisare? 🇬🇧 Trinidad & Tobago 🇹🇹 Port 6 of our Caribbean cruise 🚢 As soon as we see Port of Spain we realise we are in for a different day in the Caribbean. The capital city of Trinidad is a busy industrial hub, the beaches and natural spots are far from here, as is the paradisiac sister island of Tobago. However we are ready for more of a cultural day, and get rewarded at the beautiful Red House, the country’s parliament. A prepared guide takes us on a free tour with great insights about the nation of Trinidad & Tobago 🇹🇹 Later we walk by huge Queen Savannah and spot the Magnificent Seven, a series of nice colonial buildings built by the British. We walk back along Independence Boulevard and call it a day, enjoying our ship’s pools until sunset. Grenada 🇬🇩 Port 5 of our Caribbean cruise 🚢 Oggi scegliamo un tour in minivan per fare su e giù fra le colline di Grenada ed esplorare l’”Isola delle Spezie” di Grenada, e presto ci ritroviamo in un giardino di spezie fra noce moscata, cacao, anice stellato, cannella, chiodi di garofano. 🥜 La nostra seconda tappa è Annandale Waterfalls, nascosta nella giungla, dove i locali mostrano i loro tuffi spericolati. 🌴 Poi raggiungiamo Grand Etang, un lago al centro di un antico vulcano, a 650m sul mare. 🌋 Nel pomeriggio una barca-taxi ci porta alla tranquilla spiaggia di , dove chiudiamo la giornata con un romantico arcobaleno 🌈 Da vedere a Grenada: - mercato e giardini delle spezie - cascate di Annandale - lago Grand Etang - spiaggia di Quale destinazione famosa ha o non ha rispettato le tue aspettative? 🇬🇧Today we decide to join a minivan tour to climb the steep hills and explore the “Isle of Spice” of Grenada, and we quickly find ourselves into a spice garden that includes nutmeg, cocoa, star anice and cinnamon to name a few. 🥜 Our second stop is at Annandale Waterfalls, nicely tucked in the jungle, where locals show their impressive diving skills. 🌴 We then reach Grand Etang lake, sitting in an ancient volcano, at around 650m above sea level. 🌋 In the afternoon we hop an a water taxi and get to tranquil beach, where we close off our day with a romantic rainbow 🌈 Grenada highlights: - spice markets and gardens - Annandale falls - Grand Etang lake - beach What renown destination met or didn’t meet your expectations? #grenada #grenada🇬🇩 #discovergrenada #grenadacaribbean #caribbeanlife #caribbeanislands #caribbeancruise #princesscruises

Barbados 🇧🇧 Port 4 of our Caribbean cruise Barbados 🇧🇧 Port 4 of our Caribbean cruise 🚢 Wow 🤩 Barbados ci ha affascinato fin dai primi istanti! Finalmente siamo riusciti a trovare un’auto in affitto e questo ci ha permesso di esplorare l’isola in modo indipendente 🙏 🌺 Dai giardini botanici lussureggianti, alle scogliere selvagge sulla costa est, guidiamo attraverso paesini colorati e distese di prati che le hanno regalato il soprannome di nuova Scozia per un motivo. 🚂 Al centro dell’isola uno storico trenino a vapore, già usato per merci e passeggeri, oggi trasporta i turisti nella incredibile foresta pluviale. 🌴 Scesi sulla costa caraibica a ovest troviamo le lussuose ville coloniali e moderne affacciate sulle spiagge sabbiose. Finally able to rent a car, we managed to explore the whole island on our own. From the lush botanic gardens, to the wild cliffs on the east side, we drove through colourful villages and green hills that earned Barbados comparisons to Scotland. At the centre of the island, a historic steam train, once used for passengers and goods, now takes tourists deep into the rainforest. Back on the west coast, we admire the luxury colonial and modern villas overlooking the pristine beaches. Martinique 🇲🇶 Port 3 of our Caribbean cruise Martinique 🇲🇶 Port 3 of our Caribbean cruise 🚢 La giornata è iniziata nel peggiore dei modi: “Attenzione, qui è il capitano. Ci dispiace ma dobbiamo cancellare l’attracco a Martinica.” Un paio di ore e di tentativi dopo, la nave riesce ad attraccare. Il vento si è calmato e possiamo fortunatamente visitare l’isola. O almeno provarci. Il tempo rimasto a disposizione è poco, le attività sono chiuse per la giornata festiva e i trasferimenti da un posto all’altro molto complicati. Nonostante i tanti imprevisti, riusciamo a goderci un’escursione a St. Pierre, l’antica capitale che venne poi ricoperta di lava in seguito all’eruzione del vulcano Mount Pelée. Dopo un’oretta di strada lungo la costa ovest dell’isola, arriviamo nell cittadina costiera: le case colorate si arrampicano sulle colline coperte dalla giungla. Qui è la sono disseminati siti archeologici con ciò che rimane dell’antica città distrutta dalla lava. Davanti a noi il sole tramonta ed è ora di rientrare. È stata una breve giornata che ci ha fatto scoprire il ritmo lento dell’isola francese. Alcune attrazioni di Martinique: - St. Pierre - Jardin de Balata - Chiesa di Sacré-Coeur - Spiaggia Sainte-Anne 👉 Qual è l’imprevisto più grande che ti è capitato in viaggio? 🇬🇧 The day started off in the worst way: “This is your Captain speaking: we are sorry to cancel our port in Martinique.” Luckily 2 hours later the ship finally makes it and we get ashore. But we don’t have much time left, plus it’s a holiday and everything seems shut, including tours and buses. We still make it to St. Pierre, the old capital that was swept away by the Mount Pelée volcano eruption in 1902. Today some ruins can still be seen among the new colourful town buildings. As the sun sets we have to go back already, it’s been a short quiet day in Martinique. Guadeloupe 🇬🇵 Port 2 of our Caribbean cruise Guadeloupe 🇬🇵 Port 2 of our Caribbean cruise 🚢 Eccoci a Point-a-Pitre, nel dipartimento d’oltremare francese di Guadeloupe 🇫🇷 L’isola è a forma di farfalla, e per chi come noi vive in Italia vicino alla Costa Azzurra, sembra quasi di essere a casa qui, anche se ai tropici 🌴 Le auto hanno targhe francesi, i cartelli stradali sono identici, possiamo prelevare e pagare in Euro senza commissioni, anche usare la sim italiana con internet incluso! 😱 Guadeloupe ha la propria università, un ottimo sistema di autobus, attrazioni come musei e giardini botanici. Aggiungiamoci il mix di cucina Caraibica ed europea, sembra un ottimo posto per vivere! 🔝 Alcune attrazioni di Guadeloupe: -Spaiggia di Saint Anne -Cascata “Crayfish Waterfall” -Giardino Botanico Deshaies -Spiaggia Grand Anse ✨Ti sei mai sentito stranamente a casa in un paese lontanissimo?? 🇬🇧 Point-a-Pitre welcomes us to Guadeloupe island, a French overseas department in the Caribbean 🇫🇷 Guadeloupe is a rather large island shaped like a butterfly. Being our hometown in Italy close to France, we almost feel at home in this French territory, albeit set in the tropics 🌴 Cars have proper French plates, all road signage is just like in Europe, we can use our credit cards to easily withdraw Euros with no fees and even use our Italian sim and internet data for free. 😱 Guadeloupe also has its own university, a developed bus system, other than attractions like botanical gardens and museums.
