    STORY OF A WHOLE DAY ON A MINIBUS: FROM CAO BANG TO HA GIANG

    Today we have to travel from Cao Bang to Ha Giang, northern Vietnam, for 235 km by minibus, which in normal conditions would take 3-4 hours, but in abnormal conditions like ours will extend up to 12 hours! CAO BANG Sweet wake up at 4.45 am and we head walking to Cao Bang bus station. Our question is “will there be a direct bus to Ha Giang?”, answer of course is no.     CAO BANG AND BAN GIOC WATERFALLS, VIETNAM

    We are currently travelling by bus and motorbike in the north of Vietnam and today we explore the northeastern province of Cao Bang, with Ban Gioc-Detian Waterfalls as final destination on the border with China. SLEEPER BUS FROM HANOI TO CAO BANG We just left charming Hanoi and are heading north now. After an unusual night on the sleeper bus from Hanoi, we step off at Cao Bang bus station at dawn, 5.30 am. Sleeper buses from Hanoi leave every night after 9.30 pm from My Dinh bus station, and reach Cao Bang about 6-7 hours later. Still half asleep, we walk through locals who press us asking where we…
