Packing is sometimes underrated or not thought through well enough. Remember to be as light and practical as possible, every single kilo will matter on your back, arms and shoulders!
Unless you are going to Iceland, you won’t need a long list of clothes, you can always rely on laundry services, or on local markets to buy new stuff.

MOBILE PHONE – SONY XPERIA XZ
A mobile phone is a must for us, especially to keep our social channels up to date. Still, we are not very keen on splashing 800$ on a trendy device, Edo uses a reliable Sony Xperia XZ that has a great HDR ready camera in case we need a quick snapshot.
POWER BANK – ANKER POWER CORE MINI
A power bank is vital to recharge your devices when there’s no plug sockets. Our Anker Power Core Mini kept our mobile phones going when we were on tiny Pamilacan Island, Philippines, with no electricity!
BACKPACK – DEUTER ACT LITE 40L
Your backpack must be a perfect compromise between capacity and size. Edo has a Deuter Act Lite 40L that was ideal for our travels in Asia. There are bigger versions, but a full 80L backpack will be very heavy on your shoulders!
Don’t forget a Rain Cover to keep your backpack dry & clean!
SMALL BACKPACK – JACK WOLFSKIN STOWAWAY PACK XT 24
We always bring with us an additional small backpack, to use when we hike around. Our Stowaway Pack XT 24 by Jack Wolfskin is extremely light and can be stowed away in a pouch very easily. Perfect when you try to save space!
